Happy Friday everyone!

The week has flown and so have 24 Breeze members - off to the glorious yoga retreat of Huzur Vadisi in Turkey. Our wonderful teacher and guide for the holiday, Naomi, is staying in touch with updates on how the trip is going and word is that they are experiencing a little bit of paradise and want to return next year, the only difference being they want to go for two weeks instead of one!

A Star is Born

Now, we have many talented and wonderful members and we always love to hear what exciting things you're all up to! One of these members is the very lovely Lorna Marshall. Lorna has sailed through to the semi finals of the "Roc Da Mic" search for a star talent competition. This competition has been created by singing sensation Alexandra Burke and takes place this Saturday 24th July in London. Lorna will be belting out an awesome Tina Turner classic in a bid to scoop an enormous prize and recording contract, and we wish her every success! Anyone interested in going along and supporting Lorna in what is sure to be a sensational show, click below for more information. Lorna… you go girl!

Class Names

We are reviewing some of our offering and on carefully looking at our recent survey results it appears that the names of our "hot classes" can sometimes lead to a little confusion, in particular for newcomers to Breeze.

As you know, we currently run Supercharge Hot Yoga, Superchill Hot Yoga and Hot Vinyasa Flow.  We have decided to change these names to Hot Yoga (currently known as Supercharge), Hot Yoga Flow 1 (currently known as Superchill) and Hot Yoga Flow 2 (currently known as Hot Vinyasa Flow).

These name changes will take place from the start of the Summer timetable which launches on 2nd August. The content of the classes will not change at all, this is simply a means of simplifying the descriptions of the classes.

Summer Timetable

We have a slightly revised timetable throughout August - this will run from Monday 2nd August through to Sunday 5th September. The timetable is currently being finalized and will be emailed out to you all early next week.

What's On

Yoga to Go Workshop - Saturday 7th August 12-1.30pm with Alexia

Many of you are jetting off on your holidays, and there's no reason for you to miss out on your yoga practice whilst away from Breeze. During this session, Alexia will teach you a basic sequence of postures, which will take you around 20 minutes to complete, at the start of your day on holiday.  Participants will be taught the postures and given a card to take away, detailing this sequence that will keep you balanced, invigorated yet relaxed throughout your holidays. Please note that lightweight travel yoga mats are available at our on-line shop.

Workshop is complimentary for members and £15 for non-members.

St Tropez tans are ever popular at Namaste, this week we are offering 25% discount on a St Tropez Body Polish when booked with a spray tan - great to get you glowing for the holidays!

Don't forget we still have 25% discount on men's treatments and we're delighted to see that so many of you boys are taking our offer up and going for a little pampering, and why not - L'oreal - your worth it too!

Beauty Tip of the Week

Get perfect flip flop feet!

Slather on a luxurious foot cream after a hard day's work. Place a plastic bag around the feet (one per foot by the way otherwise you'll fall over… sorry, couldn't resist that), pop your socks on over the top and jump into bed.  You'll have baby soft feet in the morning - slip on your flip flops and you're good to go!

Foodie Tip of the Week

Almonds

Almonds are the most nutritious of nuts. They can be used internally and externally and are a great source of protein for vegetarians.

Almonds, like most nuts, were thought in the past to have too much fat to be a healthy snack.  Studies now show that ninety percent of the fat in almonds is unsaturated fat, and frequent consumption will lower blood cholesterol levels.  One study showed that three ounces of almonds a day actually lowered a person's cholesterol by 14 percent.

Almonds are loaded with protein, fibre, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin E, zinc, selenium, copper, phosphorus, biotin, riboflavin, niacin iron and many other antioxidants.

Yoga Tip of the Week

Why Invert?

Inversions set yoga apart from other physical disciplines:  Psychologically, they allow us to see things from another perspective.  Emotionally, they guide the energy of the pelvis (the energy of creation and personal power) toward the heart centre, enabling self-exploration and inner growth.  Physically, they stimulate the immune and endocrine systems, thereby invigorating and nourishing the brain and the organs. When done correctly, inversions also release tension in the neck and the spine.

Thought of the Week

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time".

John Lubbock

So that's all from us for this week.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Namaste

From all your friends at Breeze
