This Saturday is International Record Store Day, an event that pays homage to the humble music store. We miss our experiences a little at our shop, a period before online sales rocketed, and before social networking sites and forums exploded as a major source of news and gossip. The shops were a hub for face to face gatherings, underground happenings, and played a strong role building the foundations for new scenes, parties and music direction. Although you can't deny the convenience, cheaper prices, and technological innovations of buying music online, and the instant and unlimited access to discover new music, events, parties, artists, djs, and bands, the physical stores still have a role to play. London resumes normal levels of disco activity after the last two epic weekends. There's music for all, conjured by some exceptional guests, to ensure that the perfect balance of seriousness and stupidity prevails. Here's who's in town...
